Similarities and Differences between my Twin vs Singleton Pregnancy

Similarities and Differences between my Twin vs Singleton Pregnancy

What is the difference between your twin pregnancy and this pregnancy?

That is the most common question I get asked these days so I decided to write a full post on what has been the same and what has been different. Sometimes it feels like I was just pregnant and then other days that time in my life feels forever ago. I even started watching some of my old pregnancy updates to compare the two and also see how big I was at different times. Now, I’m not quite in my third trimester yet, almost, but here is what I’ve realized about the two pregnancies up until this point. *And after finishing this post I am seeing how different they have been! I have been telling most people they have actually been a lot alike but now I’m realizing they have been pretty different.

Travel Tips with 2 Year Olds!

Travel Tips with 2 Year Olds!

Hey guys! So today I wanted to share some travel tips if you have little ones. Our twins are 2 years old now, so things are definitely different from a year ago, and even just 6 months ago. I always am so thankful for Andrew, because I sometimes would rather just not go anywhere just so I don’t have to deal with the stress of traveling with the girls. It’s much easier to stay at home and remain in our everyday routine. But Andrew is always wanting to go to new places with the girls and I’m always glad we went after. Even if it was a lot of work (which is usually is!), it’s fun to look back on those memories and be able to show the girls everything they did when they were little.

Toddlers and Sleep

Toddlers and Sleep

I wanted to talk about sleep because it’s something I care A LOT about. I take naptime and bedtime pretty seriously for a few reasons. 1. The girls are in a much better mood when they get good sleep, it’s good for their development and physical growth. 2. It’s my time to get stuff done! But for reals, I really do count on their naps to film and edit videos and just get the important things done that need all my focus.

Family Christmas Cards

Family Christmas Cards

I wanted to share more of our holiday photos with you all! I’m so happy with how the turned out. Taking pictures with twin (almost 2) year olds is no easy task! Most of the time they were looking at the ants on a tree and wanting to play with sticks. We bribed with cookies (see photo below) and the park and pretended to point at lots of things in the sky.

I'm Pregnant with Baby #3!

I'm Pregnant with Baby #3!

The day is finally here!!! Well I am posting this before the end of my first trimester, but I can’t wait any longer because I’ve felt so crummy the past few weeks. It is getting so hard to pretend like I feel normal when filming videos so I just couldn’t wait any longer. SO, I am 9 weeks pregnant and this time there is only one baby! I already had my first doctors appointment and my palms were so sweaty as I was waiting for the doctor to tell me how many babies there were! I sighed with relief when he said just one. A part of me thought I’d have twins again, but deep down I felt it was one. You can watch today’s video sharing weeks 1-5 with you.

I have to let you know about my favorite new children’s show called Rainbow Rangers airing on Nick Jr. weekdays at 3pm/2pm Central! It’s an adorable, colorful show centered around 7 girls each with their own super power. I love that they aren’t fairies or princesses – they are superheroes responsible for saving the earth. In the show, they are called “Earth’s first responders”!

Travel Tips with Toddlers: Visiting Texas and the Silos

Travel Tips with Toddlers: Visiting Texas and the Silos

So if you follow me on instagram you know we recently went to Texas! My oldest brother and his family live outside of Austin and just moved into a new home, so we wanted to visit them and also make a trip to Waco. Andrew and I are huge fans of Fixer Upper, so sad it’s over, so we’ve always wanted to see everything they’ve built out there. My parents came with us and that was SO much help. Flying with two toddlers is not easy and having two extra sets of hands was so so helpful every step of the way. Even though trips these days feel more like work than vacation, we had a great time. So I’m going to share what I thought of Magnolia Table, the Silos and give you some traveling tips with twin toddlers!
