Celebrating our Summer Bucket List

Sometimes when you are having a heat wave, you throw an ice cream party during the middle of the day with your kids! But for reals it’s been so hot at our house right after we just layed all our new sod in our backyard….pray for the grass people! My girls looove any reason to dress up and celebrate, so sometimes we do impromptu post-nap parties. Donuts? Cinnamon rolls? Why not! It’s summer right? Who even knows what month we are in.

A new line at Target just launched called favorite day and we are ALL about it! My motto this past year has been to embrace each day and don’t wait to celebrate big life events. You can have dance parties before bedtime every day of the week, go on a scooter parade around the block even if it’s not 4th of July and fill plastic champagne flutes with whipped cream on a Tuesday at 3:00.

Give yourself permission to indulge this summer with all the tasty new treats at Target from favorite day! The ice cream was a HIT. (It is all only at Target!)

Below I’m sharing our summer bucket list! Let me know some fun things you have planned too!

I always think fall is my favorite season of the year but there is something about summer that I am always so ready for. Maybe it’s the freedom, the heat, the jean shorts? Or most likely a combo of it all. Especially now with kids, it’s just so nice to do things outdoors with our family. Do you have a favorite season? I’ve got to hand it to summer. Yes I love when the cool air hits mid-fall, but the blue skies and red white and blue everything gets me everytime!

I found these rainbow decorations in the party section and couldn’t resist. I taped the pom pom one to June’s desk and the rainbow one above Violet’s window. They look adorable and only $5!
