HOW I DILUTE THIEVES DISH SOAP
/I’m so excited to start sharing some more home hacks on my blog. I have always said one day I’ll be that mom who makes all her cleaning products and here we are!!! Ever since switching some products over to Young Living, I’ve been so much more creative, cost-effective and have never felt better to be honest. I love knowing I’m using the cleanest products in my home around my family. It’s peace of mind and also empowering to know I’m fully in control. (Because we all know there is not much we have control over these days…)
So today, I wanted to share how I stretched my thieves dish soap into 3 bottles. One I get the laundry soap I plan on doing something similar!
Also, getting into diffusing has me so eager to renovate our kitchen!! We have our range hood installed and just got our sink in the mail but are waiting a little longer and then we will do the counters. (Then backsplash, then paint!)
Okay so here we go! Here’s how to stretch your dish soap into 3 bottles:
-Divide your dish soap into 3 bottles (if you don’t have empty bottles yet, use a mason jar and just keep under sink of leftover dish soap that you can dilute once your 1st bottle is out)
-Add 1-2 caps of Thieves Household Cleaner (this stuff honestly works for everything)
-Mix 3 tsp of baking soda with warm water and pour into bottle (using a funnel helps)
-Add whatever scent you’d like your soap to smell like. I like citrus personally, so citrus fresh, lemon, orange or lime. However you can make it holiday appropriate so more floral for spring, cinnamon/clove for fall, christmas spirit for the holidays.
-Fill rest with water.
*It’s not going to be as thick as what you are used to but you can always add unscented castile soap instead of water. But it still works amazing, so I don’t mind it being a tad thinner.
And there you have it!
How great that you can get three bottles from one bottle of dish soap! I love that all the ingredients are non-toxic, clean and plant-based. And they work so well!
My biggest tip for getting into oils is to display them so they are in sight. If you have them all stored away you won’t use them. I think that goes for a lot of things! I like to keep them in cute jars/bowls around the house so I get inspired to diffuse. If you’ve been wanting to start using cleaner products for you home and get into oils for SO many things other than just diffusing, send me a DM on my wellness account and we can chat!
