Traveling to Texas with 3 Kids!
/Hey guys! We just took a trip to Texas to visit family. I vlogged about our travel experience, you can watch that below! We had a great time once we got to Texas, it was just a little difficult traveling with all the kids. The girls did really well, but Owen is so active right now so he was pretty hard to travel with! When we landed Andrew and I looked at each other and high fived! We survived!
Bring a lot of snacks! Pirate’s Booty was a hit along with fruit snacks, but I tried not to give too much sugar so they wouldn’t be hyped up. However, lollipops were a saving grace on the plane. Believe or not, our water bottles kept Owen entertained for the longest amount of time. Of course right??
Once we were there the kids had a blast. They were definitely tired and took really long naps. It was so nice for them to hang out with some of their cousins! We spent a little time in Georgetown square. They have a really cute kids shop with fun toys, candy and ice cream that we love to go to each time we visit. We also went over to my brother and sister-in-laws house for dinner one night and they kids had a blast in their backyard. But mostly we hung out at my parents house and it was just nice seeing everyone. My oldest brother is the one who lives there with his wife and two daughters, and then my little brother flew in from Michigan to see us which was so nice!
The flight over wasn’t too bad! The way back was way worse because it was later in the day and everyone was overly tired. The girls pulled their own little suitcases which we kept things for them to play with on the plane. I pack all of the kids stuff in one suitcase and then me and Andrew shared a suitcase. We checked both bags so we’d have more hands to help with the kids at the gate. 2 less things to keep track of! We always checked Andrew’s golf clubs. (and forgot Owen’s carseat!)
I was nervous for the mask situation for the girls and how’d they do wearing them the whole time on the flight. Luckily the did great. They were actually always worried that they weren’t wearing it right and I kept reassuring them that they were fine! Our flight attendants were really nice and never said anything if the masks were below their noses. One time June said, “mom I’m just pulling it down so I can eat.” It broke my mama heart big time. I’m like it’s okay June!!!
Owen has to be holding a golf ball at all times these days. We have to pry it out of his hands for bedtime.
