I’m so excited to share with you our nursery for our twin girls! They were born December 16th at 1:08 and 1:09 and life has definitely changed around here! I had so much fun decorating this room for them. It was nice to be able to go slightly more feminine and girly than the rest of our house. I added touches of rose gold and floral patterns to give it a vintage vibe, and added in some wood elements to keep it balanced. The other thing I wanted to do was decorate it so that they can grow into the space. I didn’t want to have too much of a ‘theme’ because I knew both the girls and myself would get tired of it quick. Instead, I opted for a look that was more classic and simple. A lot of the furniture will work as the girls grow up so we don’t have to keep buying new things all the time. I hope you all enjoy the room as much as I do! And thank you all so much for the kind words on my social media accounts wishing my family well. It means so much to me!
Hey guys! I’m so excited to share this post with you. Our bedroom is practically complete now so I wanted to show you our ‘nook’ area. Before we had nothing here and I had envisioned something very calming and relaxing. I wanted it to be a sitting area, but also a place for a large mirror so I could get a good look at all my outfits! Mirrors also make spaces look much larger. Our bedroom is pretty monochromatic so I wanted a few pops of color, but nothing overwhelming. I went with this photo of Venice for some added color. Pillows are also an easy way to change up the look and feel of a room. I hope you all love it as much as I do! And a big thank you to Joss & Main and Minted for helping me bring my vision to life!
^^This chair is exactly what I wanted. It is big enough to lounge in, but doesn’t take up too much space. I love how the legs give it a formal feel, yet the back cushion keeps it casual.
^^This picture is so dreamy. I could stare at it all day. Venice is one of my top places I want to visit, so having this image in our room keeps that dream always visible! I chose the champagne silver frame because I felt the silver would be too stark and we don’t have any gold in our room as it is. This was a happy medium. I also love how you can see the reflection of our french doors through the glass.
^^This mirror is everything! It’s not on the Joss & Main site anymore (I linked a similar one down below) but I would check often to see if it comes back! I first saw a similar mirror at Neiman Marcus and Horchow, but it was way too expensive. One morning I saw it on Joss & Main and pretty much bought it 5 minutes later! I love how thick the frame is. It adds such a romantic and old fashion vibe.
This side table adds the perfect amount of balance. I love mixing in rustic pieces with more formal pieces. I never really know what to call my style, I just know what I like!
