Ahh spring is in full bloom. Well it has actually felt like summer this week. It’s been in the 90’s. What in the world? Is it hot where you guys live or just me? I swear we get two weeks with rain and then it’s back to summer. Oh how I miss you Seattle! (I’m taking a trip there this summer and cannot WAIT.) We are headed to the river this weekend so more heat for me. But the river is such an escape for Andrew and I. It’s very refreshing to not have service for an entire weekend and just be.

Today’s look is what I wore out in Palm Springs last weekend and I love it so much. This dresss is super comfy and I love wearing this bralette under to add a little extra something. These wedges are also my new fav. I’ve been wanting a pair of black wedges and these are perfecto. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend with your friends and family! How the heck is it already May???? Seriously these months have been flying by. Oh also a little update on our kitchen! I went shopping for countertops today and picked out the quartz we want to go with. I loooove the look of marble but I want something more durable so I had to compromise. We are getting our lower cabinets installed in a few weeks so I’ll have more pictures very soon! (Did I mention our uppers are done? They look amazing!) Okay talk soon!
Hey guys! I’m so excited to share this post with you. Our bedroom is practically complete now so I wanted to show you our ‘nook’ area. Before we had nothing here and I had envisioned something very calming and relaxing. I wanted it to be a sitting area, but also a place for a large mirror so I could get a good look at all my outfits! Mirrors also make spaces look much larger. Our bedroom is pretty monochromatic so I wanted a few pops of color, but nothing overwhelming. I went with this photo of Venice for some added color. Pillows are also an easy way to change up the look and feel of a room. I hope you all love it as much as I do! And a big thank you to Joss & Main and Minted for helping me bring my vision to life!
^^This chair is exactly what I wanted. It is big enough to lounge in, but doesn’t take up too much space. I love how the legs give it a formal feel, yet the back cushion keeps it casual.
^^This picture is so dreamy. I could stare at it all day. Venice is one of my top places I want to visit, so having this image in our room keeps that dream always visible! I chose the champagne silver frame because I felt the silver would be too stark and we don’t have any gold in our room as it is. This was a happy medium. I also love how you can see the reflection of our french doors through the glass.
^^This mirror is everything! It’s not on the Joss & Main site anymore (I linked a similar one down below) but I would check often to see if it comes back! I first saw a similar mirror at Neiman Marcus and Horchow, but it was way too expensive. One morning I saw it on Joss & Main and pretty much bought it 5 minutes later! I love how thick the frame is. It adds such a romantic and old fashion vibe.
This side table adds the perfect amount of balance. I love mixing in rustic pieces with more formal pieces. I never really know what to call my style, I just know what I like!
The other day I went to the pumpkin patch with my friends and I took some pics to share with you guys! Nothing like a rustic pumpkin patch, am I right? I was really hoping for a legit corn maze but there was only a hay maze. Meaning we could see everything over hip-level. Super fun for little kids, not too scary for this 26-year-old. Have you guys been to a pumpkin patch yet? I always try to go every year to get in the fall spirit. Andrew couldn’t go this year because he has his Board exam this Wednesday so he’s been studying like a maniac. Which is great! But I’m ready to get my husband back soon! Once he is done, he’ll be completely done with school and can start working full time! I’m so proud of him for all he has accomplished. If any of you have gone through physical therapy school, you know what a job it is. Being married to someone going through it felt like I was in school for three more years too. (Okay, I know it was harder for him. But still!)
Pumpkin patches are totally acceptable photoshoot locations right? I’m going with yes! I loved how all these little families are walking by me trying to pose… One day I’ll have cute pictures of my little kids, but for now it’s just me haha.
I used to love salt water taffy. But now I look at it and think instant cavity.
Here is our wheel barrel of pumpkins! We later went home and painted them. Way less clean up and mess. And the pumpkins last way longer.
Our super fast and wild hay ride.
I hope you all have a great week. Thanks for stopping by!
Merry almost Christmas! I feel like I have so much to do before Christmas, and it is practically here! I am so looking forward to seeing all my family. My niece and nephew will be here tonight and I am sooo happy. Do you have some big plans? I am trying to think of a great dessert for Christmas Eve but have zero ideas. If you have any great dessert recipe’s let me know in the comments! I hope you all enjoy today’s post and also your time with your friends and family this week!
Lately, I have been so into stripes. I find them so easy to wear and they make any outfit more interesting. I love that you can either dress this look up with heels, or keep it casual with some flip flops. I added in a big tote that I use for travel. If you are looking for a carry-on bag for the plane check out Tjmaxx, they have tons of affordable options. For accessories, I layered dainty bracelets and kept everything slightly minimal. When I wear chunky heels, I don’t like my jewelry to compete. How amazing are these sunglasses? I am loving the retro look a lot of sunglasses have right now. These ones are from Haute Demand and I have a coupon code below! I hope you guys all have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by!
Raise your hand if you are obsessed with flannels! If you are not, you should be because they are the most comfortable piece of clothing around. Period. Well that and sweatpants. Flannels are great with shorts and can act a little like a jacket or sweater. Urban Outfitters carries the best around and the more you wash them, the better they get. I also love these brown booties from Windsor. They are super comfy and look great with practically everything.
Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I had a blast watching my sister-in-law’s dance competition. I grew up dancing, so it has a special place in my heart. I still can’t believe how warm it is here. My younger brother lives in Boston and is battling it out every day! In spirit of the warmth, I have a fun maxi dress look for you.
