Hey guys! I hope you are all having a great week so far! I just got back from my 29 week appointment (these photos were a few weeks ago so I’m bigger now!) and everything went great. The babies are 3 pounds 5 ounces and 3 pounds 6 ounces which is so amazing to be that close. I even got to see their faces in 3D and it blew my mind. Everything is becoming a little more real now. Not that it wasn’t real before, but now that they will make their arrival in less than two months, I’m feeling the pressure! We pretty much have their nursery complete. I just need to hang stuff up on the walls and get a few things for finishing touches. I’ll have a post on the nursery after they are born because we are waiting to say their names until they are born. We have signs above their cribs with their names so I kinda have to wait to post!
As far as ‘gear’ goes, we have everything we need, I think! We have a stroller, car seats, rockers, clothes, diapers and a whole lot more. Our house is already packed with baby stuff. It’s going to be insane once they are born. Lots of pink too! I’m trying to organize everything a little better so it gives us a little wiggle room. My body is also feeling the pregnancy a lot more now. My uterus is now the size of a normal 40 week pregnancy, but I still have about 7 weeks to go. Wow typing out 7 weeks looks like practically nothing! Ah! Andrew and I are just so ready to meet these little girls. I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever and I am ready to see their faces in real life! We have a birthing class tonight at the hospital so that should be interesting! I am going to leave my last update video below for you to watch if you are interested. I hope you guys have a great weekend!
Finally I am here to share my baby shower photos with you all! It was such a beautiful (and hot) day with so much love! Our shower was held in Fallbrook, CA at Myrtle Creek Nursery. There was a tented area where we set everything up. But I’d recommend coming by this nursery for lunch sometime because it is such an adorable spot. You order lunch and it’s put in a picnic basket for you to take anywhere on the nursery to enjoy. We had around 45 people attend the shower from friends to family. The main thing I wanted was a romantic and rustic vibe, and it truly was just that. My mom found the pink table runners on amazon, and her and a friend made the plant party favors. The tags were from Etsy. Our plates, flatware and glassware were from Casa de Perrin and completely made the tables! My dad cut a ton of eucalyptus from their backyard and we used that on top of the runners along with homemade flower arrangements in mason jars.
My dress is from Asos maternity and I absolutely loved it. I ordered a size up (because I’m gaining a whole lot of weight with these twins). But I think I’ll be able to where it post babies too. And my shoes are from Sole Society, which I where with pretty much everything. Where heals was a big deal for me. They came off right when the shower was over, don’t get me wrong! My feet were aching bad! Lately my whole body has been super achy and I am ready for the babies to come out already!
I’ll have a video on some of the things I got at the shower, because I know a lot of you want to see! But for now here is a short video of the shower. I hope you all enjoy!
Well hello everyone! I’m pretty sure I haven’t posted any outfit pics since being pregnant. Most of that is because I was so sick that I never felt up to getting ready! These photos were taken at the 20 week mark. My belly has really started to pop out and it is so crazy to see. This dress isn’t maternity but is super stretchy so it works! It has become so hard to get dressed in the mornings! Not much is fitting anymore so if you have some maternity websites that you love please let me know! Also, ever since getting this purse I’ve used it every day. It is the perfect size and looks cute with everything!
I’m excited to share with you all that I am pregnant! My husband and I were so happy when we got a positive pregnancy test! The crazy thing is, at our first doctor’s appointment we found out there isn’t just one baby growing inside of me, but TWO! Now I have a million questions and concerns going through my head at all times of the day. So I wanted to share how I found out I was pregnant and also some of my symptoms. (They have changed drastically!)
Currently I am 9 weeks and 2 days, so I’m not out of my first trimester but it was getting so hard not to say anything. I know it’s a little risky spreading the news a little early but I also was feeling sheltered and on my own. The day I posted on Instagram, I got so many well wishes and great advice from you guys. I think it made me feel better knowing I’m not alone in this and having the support felt amazing.
I ended up taking two pregnancy tests on a Monday, and I wasn’t supposed to start my period until that Thursday. But I had been feeling a little different for a few days. I was very crampy and moody. I usually don’t get cramps until the day before or day off my period, so I knew it was a little odd. I ended up taking my first test (a cheap one from the dollar store) late in the day around 2:30, so I knew the chances of it being positive were low. Yet, two lines filled in right away. I honestly couldn’t believe it. So then, I used one of the more expensive digital tests to make sure. Three minutes later there was a big YES on the screen!
Symptoms weeks 1-4:
-cramping
-bloated
-very moody, emotional and easily irritated
-tired around 4
-sore boobs
-starving all the time
Symptoms weeks 5-8:
-nauseous throughout the day, comes in waves (NO FUN)
-no food sounds good, but always hungry
-very tired most of day, bed around 9:00
-random cramping
I’m excited to share this journey with you guys and also learn from your experiences! Praying for a safe pregnancy and two healthy babies!
