New Wallpaper for the Girls!
/The girls’ bedroom was needing something fun and bright so I knew we needed a wallpaper accent wall. I am slightly obsessed with wallpaper if you didn’t already know. We had it in our guest bathroom and Owen’s nursery in our old house and already put some up in my office. Speaking of, I need to do a post on my office soon! I also want to do an accent wall in Owen’s new room AND Violet’s soon to be new room. To me, it’s the best way to add a statement to any room. It can be understated or bold, but either way, it always elevates the space so much more than just paint can.
The company of wallpaper we went with is called Wall Blush and the style is The Cosette. It’s removable wallpaper which is great because it doesn’t make it so permanent. I’m sure you could install yourself but I’m not good with that stuff so I ended up having someone do it for us. I love how it adds such a whimsical vibe to the room. The girls are obsessed with Fancy Nancy so this really made them feel like we were making the room to look like hers.
I have two other pictures I may switch out for the ones currently up. The are wooden frames with light pink lettering that says, “in a field of roses, she is a wild flower” and I think they’d match more. I would take these frames and put them in Violet’s room. The girls technically call it the guest room, but that is where Violet takes her naps and sleeps at night. I’m thinking we will make it officially hers in a few months. I had to start separating them for naps a few months ago and she started to love sleeping in her own room so it’s been like that ever since. I really did not think they’d be in their own rooms this fast. But I think it’s so good for them to get that alone time and have a little peace for once in the day!
Also, Violet is an introvert so she really craves that alone time and luckily June is okay with that! I remember the first night Violet asked to sleep in the guest room and Andrew and I got so sad. It seemed like the end of an era without them together in the same room. I think in a few months we will decorate the other room for Violet so it feels special to her and make it her own space. She’s been saying she’d like a rainbow wall so I think that would be really cute.
They are growing up so fast I just can’t believe it! Do you have twins? If so, when did they start sleeping in their own room? Or are they still together?
