Owen Turns 1 & 4th of July
/Hey guys! It’s still just the first week of July and I feel like so much has already happened! So first off, Owen turned 1! I can’t believe our little guy has been in our family now for a whole year. He fits right in and has completely softened me. He’s definitely brought out a more mushy/emotional side to me. I could squeeze his thighs all day long. I love how gentle and sweet he is, but at the same time how rough and tough he is. Such a loveable giant! I wanted to share some photos from his birthday. We kept it low-key with just our family and Andrew’s parents. We did cake and presents and really had a great time celebrating Owen! Oh and he LOVED the cake! If you are near Temecula/San Diego you have to use Twin Treats for your next party. She also did the cake for my baby shower when I was pregnant with the girls.
Then we had 4th of July! Since fireworks were shut down in CA and nothing was really going on, we had a fun swim day at Andrew’s parents house. We grilled some food, soaked up a lot of sun and ate yummy treats! I wanted to do something festive so we decorated our red wagon and took the girls on a “parade” in the front yard. Andrew’s mom played patriotic songs from her phone and it was so cute to watch the girls waving their American flags. This year has been the year of improvising and getting creative! And honestly we had a great time! Violet passed out on our drive home at 5:30 she was so tired from the pool!
