I know it’s still February, well almost March, but I’m actually ready for summer. I am fully aware I am always saying how much I love winter. But the other day I looked in the mirror and the person looking back at me looked like a vampire. Kidding, but I am that pale. I am all for that porcelain skin, but I mean, I need some color stat. A few days after I realized how translucent I was, our weather suddenly heated up and truly felt like summer. I laid out in the sun for a few days to soak up all the vitamin D I could and it felt amazing. I even got a little bit of color! It didn’t last long though, it started pouring last night. Anyways, that little tease made me super excited for the summer and I even pulled out some summer clothes last night. I organized all my bathing suits too which made me more motivated to get in shape. Little tip for you guys. Put on a bathing suit tonight. It will give you that kick in the butt to get in the gym. Today’s look is all about adding a pop to something simple. Jean shorts and t-shirts are basically what I live in, especially in the summer. So when I want to spice it up a bit, I will add in a bag with a pop of color and some fun bracelets. I am loving all the printed t’s that are out right now. This one is by StyleLately and I have worn it like three days in a row…whoops. I also am loving my arm candy. I live in my T&J jewels along with my Haute Betts beaded bracelets. Happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week…hopefully a productive one! I started packing last night with Andrew and we got so much done! Our kitchen and living room already look really empty. I took most of our hanging decorations down which really dulls down our apartment. It is sort of sad, but I am so looking forward to Seattle! Have a great weekend everyone and I’ll see you on Monday!
You may have seen Shea Moisture body products at Target, well….now they have makeup! I was so excited when I saw the display one day as I was walking to the check out line. Clearly I had to stop! I haven’t seen many reviews online so I thought I’d share the products I have been trying with you.

Up first we have the lip stain and glossy overcoat. Mine is in the shade NICOLA, a gorgeous bright fuscia. Let me tell you, I swatched this yesterday on my hand, and it still is there! So as far as staying power goes, this won’t go anywhere. I love using lip stains in the summer because you can apply them in the morning and are good to go all day long. This also comes with a clear gloss on the other side which creates a nice shine on top of the stain. I am definitely wanting to try more shades of this product.
Up next, we have concealer. I grabbed the shade SNOWDONIAN FAWN, which is the lightest shade. This is formulated to reduce fine lines and provide great coverage. I found this to be super light for my skintone. I felt like the next shade up was really dark, so I’m not sure if any of the shades are a good match for me. As far as performance goes, I found this to be very hydrating and gave me pretty good coverage. The only thing that bothered me is that it seemed to wear off during the day. I will use this on lazy makeup days, but not for big events or when I need my makeup to last a really long time.

Mascara time! This is the lengthening mascara in BLACK. They also carry a volumizing formula as well, which I really want to try. This is an awesome mascara. I am super picky when it comes to my lashes. Here is what I like about this one. The formula is not too wet, so it is pretty hard to make your lashes look clumpy. I am a fan of combining different mascaras, so I have been applying a volumizing mascara first, then using this on top to add length and separation. Honestly, if you use an eyelash curler after your lashes have dried, you will get MEGA length!
Last up we have the lip and cheek balm in BO-KAAP PEACH. Another one of my favs. This will add a hint of color to both your lips and cheeks in a very flattery hue. I like using this equally on my cheeks and lips. It really gives my cheeks a pinched look to them and never feels tacky on the skin. As far as my lips go, this is a great natural color and I love adding a clear gloss on top.

So I am slightly obsessed with dolphin shorts. My upcoming outfit posts are FULL of them. First of all, they are so comfortable, and second, I love all the fun designs they have. You can wear crop tops with them or a regular shirt and tuck in just the front part. Both my shorts and shirt..oh actually and my bralette are from Shop Lately! I have been on their website like a hawk looking at all the new pieces coming in. One of my favorite ‘shops’ on the site is Publik. Check them out, they have really cute items. This look is so comfortable and casual. I feel like I should be at the beach walking down the pier with an ice cream in hand. Right? What are your favorite ways to wear printed shorts? There is nothing I like more than worn in denim shorts paired with a simple tank top. Add in aviators and simple jewelry to look totally effortless. When it is hot out ditch the lip gloss and swipe on a lip/cheek stain for lasting color. Don’t forget a coral polish to make you look extra tan! PS. I just bought that bathing suit, so I had to include it because I’m in love! Go Target!
