1st Birthday Gift Ideas

Since I just posted about the toys my girls have been loving, I figured I’d do a follow up post since Owen is almost 1!! I honestly can’t believe it. This year has flown by. I linked what I bought him along with some other ideas of what I think would make great gifts! I used to think first birthday’s were hard to buy for, but now I think they are the best. I like to buy things that are for kids a little older so your babes can grow into them. I don’t get any “baby” toys, more toddler things (without little pieces) that can be used and loved for a long time.

So I got a him a few things for his birthday because Owen really has no toys haha! He just plays with all the girls things and to be honest he would rather just play with stuff around that house that isn’t a “toy”. But since he really just plays with the girls stuff I wanted to get a few things just for him on his bday. *we shall see if the girls even let him play with them.

In the collage above, I got him the pirate ship, green tractor, tool set and bulldozer. I thought they all looked like fun make believe things, but again, who knows if he’ll even be into them. Fingers crossed.

I also have an image at the bottom of the blankets I got the girls for their 1st birthday. I usually just like to get them something special that I know they’ll get some use out of especially since they’ll get gifts from other people. However, for Owen’s birthday we aren’t having a party so I wanted him to still be able to open a few things. We decided with everything going on right now to just do balloons and cake. I feel so mentally drained from these past few months, so throwing party was not something that sounded fun to me!

I hope you all get some good ideas here. I always try to think classics when gifting to others. Wooden toys, books, puzzles and animals are things they’ll use for a long time (and will last). Leave some gift ideas below for more ideas!
