Hey guys! How have you been? I swear I will start to post on here more often! Believe it or not, I am still organizing stuff. It is endless! But I do love organizing… I have some home updates coming soon for you as well. I did a few home updates on my YouTube channel, but I have some more detailed pictures that I’ll post here next week.
Today I have a super laid back look for you. It has been super hot here lately and I have been living in shorts. I just got this dreamcatcher top, and love the wide cut of it. It makes it really flowy and comfortable. (I’m semi obsessed with graphic tees…) I also love wearing kimonos for hot summer nights. They add a light layer if it’s breezy outside, but allow your skin to still breath.
If you guys need some inspiration for Valentine’s Day, I am here for you! I have put together a casual outfit for you that would be perfect for a daytime date (the video below also has a more dressy look, which you can view HERE). I also wanted to show you some pictures from the spot Andrew and I had lunch. Myrtle Creek is a nursery in Fallbrook, North County San Diego, that offers an adorable lunch. All their food is farm to plate, so you know you are getting fresh ingredients. They also put your food inside a basket that you can take with you around the nursery to find a place to sit down and enjoy it. There are tables scattered throughout, so whether you choose a cafe style table, an upholstered bench, or a picnic table, I can bet you will enjoy your time there!
Hi friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was packed with lots and lots of football. But I couldn’t be happier because the Seahawks won, which means I am going to Seattle on Saturday! I feel like Seattle is actually home to me. Is that weird considering Andrew and I only lived there for 4 months? I am so ready for the all the rain and all the food! I’m making a list of all my favorite places and will see how many we can get to. I may gain 20 pounds in one weekend. But so worth it! I’ve been dreaming of Piroshky Piroshky. It’s at Pike Place Market and is this little Russian bakery that serves up both sweet and savory foods. If you look at the website you might hate me, because you’ll want to go eat immediately. Oh man I got the beef and cheese one I think, and it was so decadent. Umm I just checked their site and you can get it shipped to you!! I may have to try that out once. I like how I’m going on and on about food and this is an outfit post. Can you tell I’m hungry right now? It’s lunch time. I hope you enjoy today’s post! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Today I put together an outfit that is super warm, but also fashionable at the same time. I love layering different fabrics and textures to give a lived-in look. I usually stick to neutrals and add in accents of deeper tones like hunter green and navy blue. Starting off with basics like distressed pants and a chunky knit gives you the freedom to accessorize. Then you can throw on a textured coat, scarf and beanie to bundle up! Gold jewelry and a structured bag are always classic and will pull your entire outfit together. It has been pretty cold here lately, but still super sunny so I couldn’t forget a great pair of sunnies!
(fyi- I purchased my pieces in-store, so the selection online varies)
Nothing feels more like the holidays like a warm coat. I found this beautiful burgundy coat at H&M and knew I had to style an outfit around it. I like wearing one piece in a rich color, and pairing everything else around it. I chose these awesome pants that have a block of denim at the calf and a printed shirt that has a quilted feel to it. My trusty brown booties go with every outfit, so this one was no exception! It has finally cooled down in southern California and I couldn’t be happier. We are supposed to get rain tonight, but not nearly as much as other places right now. If you are in a blizzard or rain storm stay safe! I hope you all are having a great week!
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. This week I am bringing you two holiday inspired outfits all from H&M. I love that you can find great gifts for everyones there. From your husband to your niece, you will definitely be able to find something super cute. For this outfit I wanted to use warm and cozy pieces in varying fabrics and patterns. This look is perfect for grabbing coffee with a friend, finishing your holiday shopping, or just watching a movie by the fireplace. Start your look off with a great pair of jeans. I am really into lighter, more faded styles right now. These are H&M’s shaping jeans, which trim your waist, thighs and butt. How neat is that? I also have been loving stripes. Striped tops are a great staple item to have in your closet because you can pair them with so many different things. I finished the look off with a pair of brown booties, a great knit scarf and a fun beanie. You should check out H&M’s boots right now. Seriously, I was browsing online and pretty much want them all! Click HERE to see a ton of styles. Let me know in the comments what your favorite things to wear for the holidays are!
There is something so classic and simple about this look that I love. Two things…three things I am loving right now: boyfriend jeans, open toe booties, and white t-shirts. You can do so many things with these pieces, they are absolute staples. I’m sure most of you are freezing wherever you live. I am still waiting for that drop in temperature here in southern California. Let’s be real, it will never happen. So if you can’t work the open toe boot, opt for a closed toe shoe instead. And you will most likely have to add in a few more warm pieces like a beanie or scarf. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I am ready to get back into the grind this week and get stuff done. Have a great day!
Happy Monday everyone! Is this time change messing with anyone else? I have been going to bed so early, but it’s kind of nice. It is supposed to cool down this weekend. I am so over the heat, considering this past week was in the high 80’s and low 90’s. In spirit of the fall feeling coming up, I paired a lot of my favorites together for this look. Infinity scarves, booties and military green jackets are a few of my go-to’s. PS. I bought Taylor Swift’s new album yesterday and I cannot stop listening to it! I love the new sound and 80’s vibe. So good. Have a great week everyone!
Hey guys! Today I have a makeup look for you, that I’ve been wearing a lot lately. It is super natural, but very polished at the same time. I kept the eye shadow in matte warm tones, and did a slight winged liner. For my lips I used my Bite lip crayon which I have been loving since I bought it. It is the perfect mauve lip. I listed the main steps below, along with the full tutorial. I hope you all enjoy this look and thanks so much for stopping by!
I don’t know about you, but I feel like it has been summer for over a year. What the heck? Where is the cold and the rain? We left hot California for a slightly less warm Seattle. Good grief all I want to do is drink hot tea and light candles. So even though it is mid September I am still in tank tops and shorts. These black silk shorts from Forever 21 are a great staple to have. I also have been living in these leopard flats from Windsor. Even in Seattle, I can’t escape my casual California style. I’m all about comfort people. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
