Our kitchen is finally done! It is so amazing not having contractors come to our home every week to work on cabinets, paint, backsplash…the list goes on and on! So today I lots of pictures and I’ll give you details on everything as well. Let me first say that redoing our kitchen was a lot more work that I had anticipated on! However, I think in the end it was all worth it. I had a vision of what I wanted the end result to look like and it’s just as I imagined. Below are two pictures of what it looked like before the paint and backsplash.
And here is everything after.
Our cabinets are painted with Behr Swiss Coffee (semi-gloss), which is the color of our trim all throughout the house. When they first painted it I thought it looked so bright. But once the backsplash was installed (which is a bright white), the cabinets actually look much more creamy. The counters also look more grey no with everything completed. The counters are quartz and the color is New Carrara from Arizona Tile. We chose to use two slabs because I wasn’t a fan of pre-fab color options. Also, I don’t know if you remember, but we used to have a giant pantry to the left of the stove. We decided we’d rather have more counter space, so we extended the countertops to the wall. Now I use that space so much and I don’t even miss the pantry. Instead we have our spices, baking supplies, vitamins and other things in the two doors to the left of the over. We have all our canned goods and snacks in the drawer below the microwave.
We had glossy standard subway tile installed (non-bevel) with a light grey grout color. Originally we weren’t going to go all the way around the window, but I am so happy that’s what we ended up doing. I think it adds much more of an impact and completes the whole room.
Our hardware is from Home Depot and it’s by Martha Stewart (pulls & knobs in brushed nickel) Andrew ended up installing all of them and he did such an amazing job (I was super impressed)!
Like I mentioned in my part 1 of the reno, our sink (32 in.) and faucet are both from Kohler. Everyday I love them more and more. The faucet is not only beautiful, but it is so functional. It has an extendable spout and three different settings (normal, spray and one that cleans the bottom of the sink out). I’m really happy I went with an apron front sink. I love how wide it is so I can fit all my pans in it completely and I swear I enjoy cleaning our dishes more now!
It ended up taking around two months to complete everything. Instead of having it all done at once, we wanted to space everything out (cabinets first, countertops next etc.) so we didn’t have to pay for everything all at once. It worked out great because we had a lot of time to decide on the exact thing we wanted done. Overall, I am so pleased with how everything turned out and I am also so thankful we did it all before our twins are born!
I’m still in shock that it’s October. This year is flying by! Yet, as far as the weather goes, it still feels like summer! Since I am so ready for long sleeves and booties, I am going to power through the heat to show off some of my favorites with you! I hope you guys are all having a great week so far. I am going to the pumpkin patch this weekend and I can’t wait! I’ll be sure to take some pictures!
Time for some fall inspiration! I am loving that it has been a little cloudy lately, but it is still hot. This summer has been unreal. Anyone else? Don’t get my wrong, I love the summer and warm weather, but when it is over 100 degrees for a whole month I’m not a happy camper! You know how they say the sun makes you in a good mood? I think it’s the opposite for me. Overcast skies are heaven on earth. Probably because it is rare here haha. Seattle I miss you! Okay anyways, enough about the weather, let’s talk fashion. So what I love about fall is the colors. Warm, earthy tones are my favorite this time of year. Navy, camel, olive and burgundy are some of my favorites. I also like sticking to basics in the fall. Start with a pair of distressed jeans, add in a basic tee and then start adding layers. A cute cardigan, hat and booties will make you look instantly chic. What are you all most excited for this fall? P.S. I actually got a hot chai latte the other day and it was bomb! I’m not quite ready for pumpkin yet!
Hey guys! How have you been? I swear I will start to post on here more often! Believe it or not, I am still organizing stuff. It is endless! But I do love organizing… I have some home updates coming soon for you as well. I did a few home updates on my YouTube channel, but I have some more detailed pictures that I’ll post here next week.
Today I have a super laid back look for you. It has been super hot here lately and I have been living in shorts. I just got this dreamcatcher top, and love the wide cut of it. It makes it really flowy and comfortable. (I’m semi obsessed with graphic tees…) I also love wearing kimonos for hot summer nights. They add a light layer if it’s breezy outside, but allow your skin to still breath.

This is my first meet up and I am so excited! I would love to meet you if you live in Seattle. We will be hanging out at Sephora for a while and then heading over to Cupcake Royale to eat cupcakes! I also have some amazzzzing goody bags for those of you coming! I also want to thank you all for following me during this YouTube journey. I read each and every comment you post on my blog, channel, instagram etc! I feel like you all are my best friends and I’m so happy I get to meet some of you in real life. Once we move back to San Diego, I will have one there as well, so stay tuned for that! Have a great night!
I finally filmed a video! But, it was super echo-y sooo I may need to film in our room since it’s smaller than the living room. I also use a mic, so I know it’s not that. We just have super high ceilings. So these products have been staples for the past week and a half. I have used them during our road trip and can always count on them! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Today’s tutorial is both makeup and hair! I have been doing my hair straight for the past month, so I show you how simple it is to style it. For my makeup, I did a very dewy and pretty look. I used a lot of pinks and browns to create a very soft look. I hope you all enjoy the video and thanks so much for watching!
On Sunday I attended a Fashion Brunch at Beso put on by Bri Seeley and Maile PR. We sipped mimosas and had some light bites. Thanks to everyone who sponsored the event and made it possible. Sole Society, Caress, and LeSportsac, you are all amazing! We were so lucky to leave with great goodies that will soon make an appearance on my YouTube channel. Any excuse to get together and talk fashion is a good time to me!
Yesterday I went to brunch at Beso in Hollywood, hosted by Bri Seeley and Maile PR Media. I will have pictures up tomorrow of the event details, so don’t miss that! Here is my outfit of the day. I kept it casual in a summer dress and denim vest. It has been super hot so light layers are key. These nude wedges were perfect with the outfit. It was my first time wearing them, and I already know I will get a lot of use out of them! I hope you all have a great Monday! Start the week out right and it’ll pay off by Friday! Oh also, today is my last day of being 24 years old. So don’t be shocked next time I post some pics and my hair is grey and I have lot of wrinkles! Ha!
