Yesterday I went to brunch at Beso in Hollywood, hosted by Bri Seeley and Maile PR Media. I will have pictures up tomorrow of the event details, so don’t miss that! Here is my outfit of the day. I kept it casual in a summer dress and denim vest. It has been super hot so light layers are key. These nude wedges were perfect with the outfit. It was my first time wearing them, and I already know I will get a lot of use out of them! I hope you all have a great Monday! Start the week out right and it’ll pay off by Friday! Oh also, today is my last day of being 24 years old. So don’t be shocked next time I post some pics and my hair is grey and I have lot of wrinkles! Ha!
I spent the day in downtown LA on Saturday with one of my best friends. She took me to all the places she thought would remind me of New York. So the cutest places ever. If you didn’t know, I have a slight obsession with New York. I will have more pictures from our day tomorrow for you.
Here is what I was wearing. The colors remind me of summer, which makes me very happy. Enjoy your Monday everyone! …or try to all least!
There is something about layering that looks so effortless. Layering is always in season, yet becomes a lot more common in the colder months. The weather in southern California can be all over the place, a 75 degree day in December is pretty common. To work layers into my outfits, I use lighter fabrics to achieve the same look. This black romper is the definition of comfort. I added in a kimono for some print and color. Black chevron tights and ankle booties make my outfit more winter appropriate. Last, I threw in a studded crossbody back for a little sparkle.
Living in Southern California makes it a little hard to jump right into fall fashion. When it is still 80 degrees in November you can’t bust out your puffer jackets quite yet! I like to bring fall into my wardrobe through color and fabric. For this look, I wanted the pants to be the statement piece. They have a beautiful floral print and a warm color palette. The sheer fabric lets me stay cool, but still look fall appropriate. I kept my top basic, and through in some awesome chunky brown wedges to finish off the look.
