Fall Inspo

Time for some fall inspiration! I am loving that it has been a little cloudy lately, but it is still hot. This summer has been unreal. Anyone else? Don’t get my wrong, I love the summer and warm weather, but when it is over 100 degrees for a whole month I’m not a happy camper! You know how they say the sun makes you in a good mood? I think it’s the opposite for me. Overcast skies are heaven on earth. Probably because it is rare here haha. Seattle I miss you! Okay anyways, enough about the weather, let’s talk fashion. So what I love about fall is the colors. Warm, earthy tones are my favorite this time of year. Navy, camel, olive and burgundy are some of my favorites. I also like sticking to basics in the fall. Start with a pair of distressed jeans, add in a basic tee and then start adding layers. A cute cardigan, hat and booties will make you look instantly chic. What are you all most excited for this fall? P.S. I actually got a hot chai latte the other day and it was bomb! I’m not quite ready for pumpkin yet!

End of Summer

Happy Monday! I wanted to share a look I wore this past Friday out to dinner with Andrew. This summer has been very long and very hot. Today is the first day I haven’t had to turn the AC on at 9:00 am. It has been brutal to say the least. So considering it was still pretty toasty last Friday, I threw on this maxi dress because 1. it is super comfortable and 2. it is only one thin layer of clothing. I paired it with a pair of studded flats and crossbody bag for an effortless feel. I hope you all have been having a great summer. I am soooo ready for fall. Scented candles, sweaters and hot tea are calling my name!

Summer Ready

Hey guys! How have you been? I swear I will start to post on here more often! Believe it or not, I am still organizing stuff. It is endless! But I do love organizing… I have some home updates coming soon for you as well. I did a few home updates on my YouTube channel, but I have some more detailed pictures that I’ll post here next week.

Today I have a super laid back look for you. It has been super hot here lately and I have been living in shorts. I just got this dreamcatcher top, and love the wide cut of it. It makes it really flowy and comfortable. (I’m semi obsessed with graphic tees…) I also love wearing kimonos for hot summer nights. They add a light layer if it’s breezy outside, but allow your skin to still breath.

Outift InspoOutift Inspo Outift InspoOutift InspoOutift InspoOutift InspoHi friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was packed with lots and lots of football. But I couldn’t be happier because the Seahawks won, which means I am going to Seattle on Saturday! I feel like Seattle is actually home to me. Is that weird considering Andrew and I only lived there for 4 months? I am so ready for the all the rain and all the food! I’m making a list of all my favorite places and will see how many we can get to. I may gain 20 pounds in one weekend. But so worth it! I’ve been dreaming of Piroshky Piroshky. It’s at Pike Place Market and is this little Russian bakery that serves up both sweet and savory foods. If you look at the website you might hate me, because you’ll want to go eat immediately. Oh man I got the beef and cheese one I think, and it was so decadent. Umm I just checked their site and you can get it shipped to you!! I may have to try that out once. I like how I’m going on and on about food and this is an outfit post. Can you tell I’m hungry right now? It’s lunch time. I hope you enjoy today’s post! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Winter Details

Today I put together an outfit that is super warm, but also fashionable at the same time. I love layering different fabrics and textures to give a lived-in look. I usually stick to neutrals and add in accents of deeper tones like hunter green and navy blue. Starting off with basics like distressed pants and a chunky knit gives you the freedom to accessorize. Then you can throw on a textured coat, scarf and beanie to bundle up! Gold jewelry and a structured bag are always classic and will pull your entire outfit together. It has been pretty cold here lately, but still super sunny so I couldn’t forget a great pair of sunnies!

Nothing feels more like the holidays like a warm coat. I found this beautiful burgundy coat at H&M and knew I had to style an outfit around it. I like wearing one piece in a rich color, and pairing everything else around it. I chose these awesome pants that have a block of denim at the calf and a printed shirt that has a quilted feel to it. My trusty brown booties go with every outfit, so this one was no exception! It has finally cooled down in southern California and I couldn’t be happier. We are supposed to get rain tonight, but not nearly as much as other places right now. If you are in a blizzard or rain storm stay safe! I hope you all are having a great week!

New York Minute

new york minutenew york minutenew york minutenew york minutenew york minutenew york minute I spend this past weekend in New York and am still trying to catch my breath! It was a crazy trip filled with lots of fashion, great food and great wine. I filmed the entire trip so stay tuned for a peek into what my weekend looked like. Today’s post is all about the outfit I wore to the Alyssa Collura show. I wanted to wear something a bit bohemian to reflect the Alyssa Collura’s girly and feminine designs. I chose this dress from Nordstrom which happens to be in my favorite color. I love that the shade completely changes depending on the light. Sometimes it looks teal, while other times it comes off navy. I paired it with chunky heeled booties by Jeffery Campbell. Can you even get over how awesome these shoes are? The second I saw them it was love. They have a worn in, vintage look which gives a very relaxed feel. I like finding pieces that can be used for multiply occasions. When it starts to cool down I will pair this dress with tights and these shoes with jeans. Get more bank for you buck! I hope you all are having a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Preppy Chic

I had so much fun with this look by Bri Seeley. Totally different than my usual laid back style, but it is always fun to step outside your comfort zone every now and then. I was immediately drawn to this mustard skirt. It adds a richness to the outfit without being too in your face. I also am loving this black and white printed top. There is a tie at the neck which you can’t see from my pictures. The neat thing is, you can tie it in front or back depending on the look you are going for. Right when Andrew saw these pictures he said, ‘oh like New Girl’. So if you are wanting to look like Jess, this is perfect for you! Fire Escape Glamour

Today’s look is pretty major if you ask me. It also wasn’t an easy task to get up on that fire escape in wedges and a long dress! Hey all for the shot right? This is another Bri Seeley dress that has that great romantic feel. I love how the slits make it feel so airy and light, while adding to the drama. To keep all the focus on the dress, I kept my accessories to a minimum. When wearing a statement dress, add in one great piece of jewelry and a clutch.
